Our Gnome sits all on his own,
In his Vast and Stately home,
His wine is very nice,
Brewed by a troupe of bilingual mice.
1+ 1 = 2 to your mind,
But to Our Gnome it's more like 32.9,
There's not much else we can do
To put this succinctly unto you.
We try not to talk about it
But please try to read between the lines.

It can't hurt you if you don't know.
But then, one sunny day
When the children came out to play,
The butterflies and tadpoles too
Got half the way to Timbuctu.
[Dubious Instrumental Merriment]
Gnome sent us down to the river
Where the Birch and the Willow droop.
"Lie down on the soily ground
And you'll see me float among the clouds."
1 + 1 = 2...

Our Gnome's habits when he's on his own.
